My name is Justine and I live with my husband and son in Ottawa, Canada. My previous career was in the food world, including as a recipe developer and food photographer, and I’m now studying library sciences. This is the little corner of the web that I’ve created to post my photography and keep track of things I love. The blog title is a nod to my appreciation of tucking into a good book, meal, or cozy bed.
Hi! My name is Justine, and I created this space to share my photography, as well as to keep track of things I love - mostly books, flowers and meals.
Many years ago, I took a hint from the fact that I was falling asleep reading cookbooks every night, and decided to follow my passion for food. I took a break from university, and went to study cooking at Le Cordon Bleu instead. From there, I worked in the food industry for over a decade, both in and out of the kitchen.
After a bit of soul searching in my early thirties, I decided to follow another passion (for books and the transformational power of reading) and go back to school to study library sciences. For the past few years, I have been studying part-time while also being a stay-at-home parent.
I share a small home in Ottawa, Canada with my husband and son. I love to spend my time cooking, visiting local bakeries, gardening, walking, reading, and being in the company of people I love.
All the photos on the site are my own, unless otherwise noted.
Thank you for stopping by!
